Design of innovative methodological framework to develop a business idea in Circular Economy (Lead Organisation: University of Thessaly)

Τhe scope of the 1st output is the initial methodological framework based on a research on Circular Economy and Social Responsibility at the Policy Maker level. The results of the IO1 have been used as to designing the training course (IO2). The EU and National circular economy ecosystems have been examined focusing in the existing needs, lessons learnt, new Business Opportunities for adults in the new economy and best practices. A consolidated report has been delivered which also contains a Pocket library (collection of documents, reports, links etc.).

A6. New Business Opportunities for adults in the new economy. The research focuses on existing opportunities or niches for new opportunities based on the existing models, supporting IO3 (Incubating)
A7. Tools and methodologies for Circular Economy and Social Responsibilities applications, e.g. zero waste, cradle to cradle, organic food, framework for strategic sustainable development among others to detect new niches of business, meaning new models or improvements in the existing ones.

Designing the Training Course and toolkit applied to Circular Economy and Social Responsibility (Lead Organisation: Stichting for education on Agility Liberating Structures)

The 2nd Intellectual output includes the design of a training course and material in circular economy entrepreneurship based on innovative methodologies/tools. The training course provides adults with the skills demanded by the labour market and makes the option of being an entrepreneur in the circular and social economy more attractive to them. One of the innovations of this training course is that it integrates technologies mostly from Agile management. The training course has been designed for 40 hours, including extra online resources (toolkit) to deepen on any topics that will also be available in IO3 during the incubation process.

Incubating Service Management System for Business Agility in the Circular Economy (Lead Organisation: Novel Group)

The 3rd Output includes the development of incubating Service Management System App for Business Agility in the Circular Economy, a platform based on Progressive Web App.Twelve (12) Business ideas in the Circular Economy have been developed by 12 adults and are supported by using the App. For future use and reference, a Reference Manual/Practical Guide for incubating steps has been developed. 

All the business cases and complementary incubating information, including the Reference Manual/Practical guide as well as the training material (IO2), IO1 consolidated report and the Pocket Library (IO1) are included in a MOOC platform hosted by UTH.
